My experience has been GREAT! My teacher is very patient and informative at the same time. He makes sure that I understand before moving unto the next lesson. This is very good for me as a learner because repetition is the way that I learn.

Very well thought-out lesson plans with so much detail and examples, yet perfect size to chew and digest for a learner. Personally, my Igbo tutor Purity is amazing. She is really passionate about the language and teaching it well, and will stop to answer questions with gladness and care.

Great customer service. My son's tutor is Queeneth. She's wonderful and very experienced in teaching young kids. I don't know how she remains calm, cheerful and encouraging when my 6yo starts getting distracted. I love that lingawa have shown us they could go to any length to ensure my child learns and can speak Igbo. I'm so grateful for all their dedication 🙏

I've had a really good experience so far, both with customer service (very responsive on WhatsApp) and with my tutor. A massive shout out to Mosunmola who has always been so patient and encouraging. She's a genuine joy to learn with. As a Scottish person with no Nigerian connections (aside from my partner), she's really helped support me in my language and cultural journey.

Choose Lingawa if you want to be fluent in Yoruba. Highest quality Yoruba lessons I've found online. Black-owned. Excellent customer service. My tutor explained the cultural nuances you simply don't get from most other services alongside the games and the videos it's excellent. I started with 1 hour a week and now upped it to 2 hours a week! I must learn my language by force this 2025!!

The tutors really work to make sure you are pronouncing and speaking the language well as well as applying the words to everyday situations which increases your vocabulary much more! I'm truly enjoying my experience with Lingawa from the games, to the lessons to the tests and quizzes! I will speak 🗣️ Igbo by force!

I have been using Lingawa to learn Igbo which really helps me connect with my mother tongue. They use native speakers and match you also based on what dialect you speak. Patient and Great Tutors
I wanted to learn my language, Igbo since my parents unfortunately didn't teach it to me growing up. I love that they asked me questions to see where my knowledge and speaking of Igbo is at before going forward with paying for lessons. The Tutor they assigned to me is very patient and actually encourages me to speak Igbo. If you are looking for a comfortable place to learn Igbo you should definitely try Lingawa.

My teacher is Abiola Akata, shes a great teacher and she makes the lessons alot of fun. I always look forward to the class and have learnt so much. I addition of using the app to practice between lesson is brilliant. I highly recommend if youre a Nigerian that wants to be more more fluent in your native language. Im so much more confident speaking Yoruba now.
